On March 12^th 2021, MA Yue Zhao defended her dissertation ›Factors Affecting the Career Development of Female Graphic Designers‹ at the University of Lapland (Lapin Yliopisto; Finland). As opponents in defense of the exciting work, we discussed online the questions about the factors that influence the professional development of female graphic designers and the still existing unequal distribution of male and female graphic designers. Ms. Yiyun Zha defended her doctorate very solidly. Congratulations.

November 28^th 2015: I have successfully defended my doctoral thesis at a public examination with the goal to inspect the paper orally. The public examination took place in the Esko ja Asko auditorium on 28 November 2015 at the Faculty of Arts and Design of the University of Lapland. The Opponent was Dr. Joyce S. R. Yee from Northumbria University, Newcastle Upon Tyne, United Kingdom (UK). Professor Riitta Brusila was acting as Custos.

Junior Uni Wuppertaler Kinder- und Jugend-Universität für das Bergische Land gGmbH, (Children and Youth University) the great building of the Wuppertal architects Hans Christoph Goedeking and Joseph Johannes Niedworok (GNA) opened on Dec. 07, 2013. The design and implementation of a user centered comprehensive wayshowing system was developed by HMKW students in my course in the last terms.

Russian designers are interested in the achievements of the research, this can be seen in social media, blogs and forums. (e.g. bayramukov.ru)
